Anglican Church of Kenya

The Diocese of Katakwa

The Diocese of Katakwa, located in the far western part of the country, was created  out of the original diocese of Nambale in January of 1991

Welcome to the Diocese of Katakwa

I would like to welcome you and offer my prayer that your visit here will be Spirit-filled and fruitful.

We are a family of faith within the worldwide Anglican Communion and part of that branch of the Church located in the beautiful nation of Kenya.

Although a small diocese, we are rich in faith and the gifts of God the Holy Spirit. As you peruse our site and get to know us better, we hope you’ll discover something of the richness of our heritage, the beauty of our people and the depth of our faith.

Called to make disciples of all nations, we find our calling in the words of our Lord as recorded in the book of Matthew 28:18-20:

Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

We seek those which are lost, that they may be found; We nurture the hurting, that they may be healed; We empower the struggling, that they may win the battle, and we equip the saints, that they may attain the final victory in Christ Jesus our Lord.

May the good Lord richly bless you and keep you, may he make his face to shine upon you and grant you of his peace.

             Bishop Zakayo
