The Diocese of Katakwa

The Rt. Rev. Dr. Zakayo Epusi

Dr. Zakayo Iteba Epusi, 55 has been consecrated and enthroned the 2nd Bishop of the  Anglican church of Kenya diocese Katakwa at a ceremony presided over by Archbishop Benjamin Nzimbi on 7th January 2007.  He takes over from Bishop Eliud Okiring who retired recently after heading the Diocese since inception in 1991.  The ceremony took place at St. John Pro-Cathedral Katakwa.  The Archbishop thanked the outgoing Bishop and people of Katakwa for providing a conducive environment for the election of Bishop Epusi.

Dr. Epusi studied at St. Paul’s Theological College Limuru, University of Nairobi, Holy Ghost College Kimmage Manor Dublin and got his Master’s degree in Theology and Development in Edinburg, Scotland. 

He studied for his doctorate degree at the University of the South Sewanee in Tennessee, USA.
