Katakwa is the poorest diocese in the Anglican Church of Kenya. Our people struggle with an unemployment rate of over 40%; HIV/AIDS, human trafficking, female genital mutilation in the rural areas, famine, and refugee influx from Uganda and the Sudan. One in five of our children are orphaned because of these terrible facts.
Please pray for all of us, that together we may fulfill God’s call on our lives: Then he will not find us sleeping in selfishness and sin when he comes to reward the faithful, and
in that day we both will hear him say, ‘Well done, thou good and faithful servants!’
These are our people. This is our life.
It is a great grace to know that even one child will not go to bed hungry because of your generosity. For only a few dollars, the rewards can be heavenly.

Amagoro Junior Academy was founded to provide a nurturing environment, solid academics, and a firm grounding in the faith of Jesus Christ to the impoverished and disadvantaged children of the diocese.
